Article: Jeff Pfannerstill Announces Bid for 99th Assembly District

HARTLAND — Hartland Village President Jeff Pfannerstill announced on Monday his decision to run for the Wisconsin Assembly’s District 99 seat.

State Rep. Cindi Duchow, R-Town of Delafield, majority caucus vice-chair, is currently in Assembly District 99.

“The recent redistricting measure requires the Wisconsin State Assembly and Wisconsin State Senate to implement different district maps beginning in 2025. Upcoming elections for offices to the assembly will take place this August (primary) with the general election in November. Unfortunately, in the 99th District, we will no longer have Cindi Duchow as our representative to the assembly because Delafield will no longer be in the 99th district. I am thankful to Representative Duchow for her years of service. The new 99th District includes Hartland, Nashotah, Chenequa, Oconomowoc, Ixonia, North Lake, Okauchee, Town of Oconomowoc, Stone Bank, Town of Merton, Lac La Belle, Neosho, and the Town of Rubicon,” Pfannerstill said in a statement.

He said he has received support from citizens asking him to run. Pfannerstill has been Hartland’s village president since 2017 and called the experience wonderful.

“We have accomplished so much since I was elected, including achieving balanced budgets, keeping taxes competitive, and working on value-added projects with department heads, the Village Board, and many others. I am also very proud of the fact that we kept Hartland open for business as we maneuvered through COVID. Currently, our parks are bustling with activity and the Village grounds have never looked better. Our police and fire departments are some of the best performers in Waukesha County, with response times that lead the region. As a result of these successes, many new businesses and residential developments have relocated to Hartland and now call it home,” Pfannerstill said.
